Yong'an City is located in the west of central Fujian, with excellent bamboo shoots and bamboo resources. The existing bamboo forest area is 1.02 million mu, and the per capita bamboo forest area of farmers is 6.7 mu. Yongan people do not live up to a piece of green bamboo overhead, with diligence and wisdom "point green into gold".

"Last year, there was little rain, and bamboo shoots in many places were significantly reduced. We benefited from sprinkler irrigation facilities. Although the output has also been reduced, the overall income is still very good because of the substantial increase in prices." Wu Rusheng said that the average per capita area of tuanshi village is 15 mu of bamboo forest. Last year, the output value of winter bamboo shoots per mu of bamboo forest alone was 10000 yuan.

Mei Jingui, director of Yong 'an Forestry Bureau, said that Yong 'an has long attached importance to the cultivation of bamboo forest resources and encouraged bamboo farmers to build bamboo mountain access roads, install sprinkler irrigation facilities and purchase bamboo mountain machinery through financial subsidies. This has comprehensively improved the level of scientific bamboo cultivation and the industrialization of bamboo industry. The unit area of bamboo forest demonstration base has increased by more than 50%, and 420000 mu of bamboo forest high-efficiency demonstration base has been built.

In order to help bamboo farmers reduce costs and increase efficiency, Yongan has also vigorously promoted electric roasting barn in recent years. "In the past, bamboo shoots were roasted with carbon, and a batch of bamboo shoots were roasted for two days and two nights, and the roasted bamboo shoots were also roasted by people. Now, with electric roasting barn, the temperature can be adjusted by mobile phone at home, the machine can control the temperature accurately, and the quality of dried bamboo shoots is better." Yongan City Mahong Village Party branch secretary blue light Chun said. "Replacing firewood with electricity" saves time, labor and costs for forest farmers. At present, 1114 units have been promoted in Yongan City.

"Yongan produces 25 million moso bamboos per year, but it consumes 45 million. Bamboo resources within a radius of 100 kilometers are being transported to Yongan." Wen Yongyou, vice mayor of Yong'an City, said that Yong'an insists on deep processing as the main direction of expanding the bamboo industry, relying on modern industrial technology to "eat dry and squeeze out" a bamboo, realize the utilization of whole bamboo and enhance the added value of bamboo.
 

"The rise of the processing industry has driven the demand for bamboo." Xu Xianhao, chairman of Yongqing Bamboo and Wood Industry Development Co., Ltd., Bayi Village, Fujian Province, said." Yongan is not satisfied with its leading edge in the board field. Starting from 2012, financial funds will raise a special budget every year to encourage bamboo and wood processing enterprises in the city to transform and upgrade to terminal manufacturing enterprises such as bamboo furniture and bamboo handicrafts. Set up a live e-commerce business incubation base to help enterprises sell their products. Over the past few years, brand enterprises such as Zhuli, Xijie Tong and Tianyu have sprung up like bamboo shoots after a spring rain.

At present, 166 bamboo shoots and bamboo enterprises in Yongan have created 20 series of more than 400 varieties of bamboo shoots and bamboo products, forming an industrial cluster dominated by bamboo engineering plates and common bamboo plates, supplemented by bamboo incense cores and bamboo machine-made charcoal, and a 2000 variety of bamboo products are sold to South Korea, Japan, Europe and the United States and other countries and regions. 2022 Yong'an bamboo industry chain output value of 9.78 billion yuan.

Among them, it is mentioned that "industrial production is encouraged to use bamboo winding composite materials, bamboo grid drench water fillers, bamboo vehicle interior products, bamboo packaging materials, etc. to replace corresponding plastic products."

Bamboo grid water filling is widely used in industry and has a broad market space. "The previous craft was not good enough. I have improved and upgraded it this time." Holding the product design drawing sketched by himself, the old man in his twenties was very excited.

It is not only Xu Xianhao who is excited, "this is the best policy in recent years" and "the bamboo industry has ushered in a good opportunity for development". In Yongan, many people expressed the industry expectation brought by the policy of "replacing plastic with bamboo. Bamboo is considered to be an important substitute for plastics because of its fast growth, early timber, wide use and strong carbon fixation capacity. Industry insiders believe that the policy of the east wind blowing, the bamboo industry will usher in a new opportunity for development.

Wen Yongyou said: on the one hand, "replacing plastic with bamboo" requires the concept of ecology and carbon sequestration to continue to be deeply rooted in the hearts of the people; at the same time, it also requires enterprises themselves to carry out supply-side reform to provide products that are needed by the market and are of high quality and low price. From November 16th to 19th, at the 2023 International (Yongan) Bamboo Expo held by the National Convention and Exhibition Center (Shanghai), Yongan will fully display new products, new technologies and new formats in recent years.
